The little things matter. Today I had the privilege of coaching and watching my clients compete in their first push/pull powerlifting meet. They blew my mind for many reasons. One, the amount of trust they bestowed upon me to program their lifts, monitor their food, and advise their sleeping patterns, is a real honor. I don't know if other coaches see it that way, but they did all the little things I asked of them, and it added up to incredible moments. Personal bests were hit left and right, and while each client was simply trying to get their best lifts during these past 8 weeks, many of them hit health goals, as well. Between the 5 of them (we will always include Nate because he did all the work up until the final week due to injury), they lost a collective 30+ pounds. They feel better. Look healthier, and they found something better within themselves. A new bar was set, and it's much higher than they thought they could reach in the past. They're amazing. They did the little things.
